"Hi Mike,
I just wanted to let you know that so far I’ve had absolutely no problem at all with the non-smoking so far. I’m really pleased because I passed my biggest hurdle on Saturday night when I went out with my husband and two of my best friends. I was worried about it because they all smoke, and as they’re three of the people in the world I most liked having a drink and a few fags with when we get together, they tend to be one of my ‘triggers’ to smoke. So I did wonder whether I was going to give in. But to my amazement - and this may be partly because you specifically targetted them by using their names in my hypnosis session – I didn’t even feel inclined to smoke. In fact, I looked at them smoking in a whole different light. It just looked like a bit of a hassle. In the morning their hangovers were far worse than mine.
Anyway, as I told you so far in my bid to stop smoking I’ve been to Allen Car three times, been to acupuncture, used gum, used willpower, and been monitored by my local chemist and used nicotine lozenges. Everything in a bid to stop smoking. But this time it really does feel like it’s for real. So I’ll keep in touch, but so far thank you so much for what you did! I feel GREAT and so much happier in myself, and less scared about the future. Death doesn’t play on my mind anymore like it was even a month ago, all because of being terrified of what smoking was doing to me.
